Reporting directly to the Seriti, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be based in Standerton Ward 1 – 12
- Previous experience or interest in agriculture, greening, climate change, nutrition, surveys/data collection.
- Must be a resident of the local community; between 18 –59 years of age; South African Citizen with a valid ID.
- Available and willing to perform assigned duties for the duration of the program. o Able to commit to employment and adhere to the organisation’s policies and procedures.
- Provide a police clearance and/or police affidavit.
- Must be unemployed and NOT working for another SEF partner or Implementing Agent of the EPWP or CWP o Must have not been part of both SEF 1 and SEF 2.
- Must not receive the Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) grant, National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) grant or an Old Age Pension. Additionally, having the following skills would be considered an added advantage:
- Experience and/or interest in implementing community-based projects for social good. o Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Wages – Participants: R27.58 per hour/64 hours per month.
Duration: The project ends on 30 April 2025
